Mathematics helps us understand the world and provides an effective way of building mental discipline. Math encourages logical reasoning, critical thinking, creative thinking, abstract or spatial thinking, problem-solving ability, and even effective communication skills.

YEARS 7 AND 8 MATHS ARE CORE UNITS

YEAR 7

MA 01
Year 7 Maths 1

In this semester, you will analyse data, problem solve and work out how much paint you need to paint your bedroom. You will undertake tasks in Number, Measurement and Statistics

MA 02
Year 7 Maths 2

In this semester, you will find the probability of which team will win the next AFL or Soccer season in 2024 and use different strategies to solve problems. You will undertake tasks in Algebra, Geometry and Probability.

YEAR 8

MA 03
Year 8 Maths 1

In this semester, you will analyse data of height of year 8 students and compare them to the year 8 students in Victoria. Students will also problem solve and work out the cost of laying a carpet in our classroom. You will undertake tasks in Number, Measurement and Statistics.

MA 04
Year 8 Maths 2

In this semester, you will analyse data and find the probability of which team will win the next AFL or Soccer season in 2024. Students will be will undertake tasks in Algebra, Geometry and Probability.

MA05

Year 8 Number Ninjas

This class will be a class designed to support students who need some more help in Mathmatics. It will run for one semester.
