Let your voice be heard
The Student Senate is a democratically elected group, run by the students, for the students. RIC is not just a college, it's a home-from-home too and as such, the student's voices are listened to and recognised.
We want our students to play an active and integral part in the running and development of the college; from it's future and long-term plans, to the day-to-day stuff which directly affects you.
Our senate communicates with, and represents, the entire student body; of all the various cultures, nationalities, ages, houses, years, and personalities present in our college.
They meet on a regular basis to discuss and action agenda points which will improve and enhance the experience of all students.
The senate members are be responsible for obtaining the views of the boarding community and feeding it back to the boarding staff; acting as intermediaries between the student body and the wider school, and assist in planing and running boarding events such as the Christmas and Summer parties.
Senate meetings also give staff members the opportunity to feedback what has been done in response to any requests put forward by the Senate.
