The Pastoral Assistant Team (weekday mornings) support the boarding community with activities and assist you in general boarding life. They will support with boarding routines and are here to help you get the most of your time at RIC. This team of Pastoral Assistants (weekdays) here to chaperone you to medical appointments and assist you in the school day if you are feeling unwell or need support from boarding.

There is a long tradition in UK boarding schools of using GAP year asssitants to support the work of the main boarding team. The Pastoral Assistant Team (evenings and weekends) are GAP year assistants who support the boarding community with activities and assist you in general boarding life. They will support with boarding routines (excluding evening bed checks) and are here to help you get the most of your time at RIC.

The medical team are here to support you when you feel poorly, help educate you to keep healthy and support you with appointments with doctors, hospital visit etc. You have direct contact with the medical team Monday - Friday 8-4pm in 23 Star Hill.

You are able to speak to any of the boarding team in person once on site.
You will have access to the website 24 hours a day. It will house information, guidelines and updates.
Please note that we strongly discourage students from overpurchasing online. There are plenty of shops in the local area (including Chatham and Strood), and Rochester is well connected to shopping centres (Bluewater, Chatham Dockyard outlet, Westfield Shopping centre in Stratford) and to London.
