Term Dates for 2022-23 can be found here on the main College website
Boarders are not able to stay at the college during the Christmas holidays and summer holidays.
Boarders are able to stay in College accommodation during half term breaks if they wish. Students in years 11, 13 and 14 may be required to stay during half term breaks to attend additional classes/revision sessions as directed by their teachers so all students are required to check with them in advance.
The Easter break is two weeks in duration. However, boarders in years 11, 13 and 14 will have mock exams for the first week so they are required to stay. Boarders in years 10 and 12 are able to leave for the whole Easter holiday and may be asked to pack their room in case of the room being required for our annual Easter Intensive Tutoring. All leave arrangements are made in advance with the boarding team. During the second week of the Easter holidays students in year 11, 13 and 14 may leave for their break; however they may stay in College accommodation should they wish to.
We appreciate that sometimes booking flights that fit in with the term dates can be difficult and we are aware that students may have to leave a little early in order to get flights home or return late, depending on availability. However, we do encourage students to miss as little college as possible, so recommend that no more than one or two days are missed.
Boarders are able to leave their belongings in their room during half terms and Christmas, however; during the Easter holiday students may be asked to pack their room in case of the room being required for our annual Easter Intensive Tutoring. All belongings will be safely stored and returned to rooms before the students arrive back to their room. At the end of the academic year, returning boarders are able to store items (up to three large boxes/suitcases) over the summer. Those who are leaving need to make sure that they arrange for belongings to be collected or stored elsewhere as necessary.
