I am so excited to be part of the teaching team here at Rhode Street after an extended break caring for my own 4 tamariki. I am half of the awesome ILE team, a wonderful class of mostly Year 1 and 2 ākonga.
Having taught at ECE level for 13 years on my extended teaching break has given me the experience of recognising the uniqueness and greatness that all tamariki bring with them to school and the ability to build strong relationships with each tamaiti.
I strongly believe in working closely with whanau to establish relationships, seeking their aspirations for their child, and working collectively to achieve the best outcomes for their tamariki.
I am passionate about seeing the full development of the whole child, to celebrate their strengths, to help grow their dispositions, understandings, capabilities and skills to give them the tools they need to succeed and thrive both now and in the future.
It is such a privilege to work in such an amazing kura and to be a special part of each child's learning journey.
