I am thrilled to join the Hamilton’s whanau school this term and to become a part of the kaiako team. I believe in teamwork that makes dream work which is why I can relate to the kura’s whakataukī, “Ehara taku toa, he takitahi, he toa takitini” - My success should not be bestowed onto me alone, as it was not individual success but the success of a collective.
I would strive to instil this value in Room 2 ākonga, where we aim to learn from and alongside each other. I am looking forward to building the relationship with the ākonga and whānau alike. I am committed to support each tamariki to realise and reach their fullest potential holistically. I believe their hauora is just as important as their academic progress.
I will be completing my third year of teaching in New Zealand at the end of Term 2. I am happily married with 2 great grown-up kids. I love long drives and playing badminton with my family. Mathematics is my favourite and strongest subject.
Ngā mihi
