Kia ora, Matua Mark here.
I have been teaching for 10 years now, and have been at Rhode Street School since 2018. I am married with three children. As a family we love spending time together, going to the beach, camping, watching movies, and playing board games. In my spare time, I enjoy RC racing and biking with my dog Boston.
I am privileged to be working at this awesome Kura, teaching years 2/3/4. I am passionate about building strong and positive relationships with our ākonga and strong networks within the ākomanga and whānau.
For me, it is important that our tamariki strengths, interests, cultures, languages and whānau are respected and valued, which contributes to a strong sense of self-worth and individual well being.
As ākomanga, we work collaboratively, set high expectations for our learning, model our Kura MANA values, and encourage our tamariki to be successful lifelong learners.
