Kiaora, my Name is Elizabeth Phillips known at Rhode Street School as Whaea Liz, I am the Rūma Tahi teacher with Year 5/6 for 2024. 

I have worked at Rhode Street School since April 2017. My roles here are Teacher Aide, Media Centre Manager and School Board Secretary and now Teacher. I am lucky as my mixed job roles here at Rhode Street allow me to work with the students and staff across the entire school in various ways. 

What draws me to Rhode Street school is the culture and values the school stands for. The students and staff are awesome and I love to work and interact with them all. .

When I'm not working,  I love to help my husband Alastair on our farm in Ohaupo or muck round with the kids. 

I am a stepmother to Madison 16 Emily 13 Ryan 11 and Mum to Dan 10. We love spending time at skateparks or Moto X tracks.  Whangamata is one of favourite places to spend time together.
