I have journeyed from South Africa in June 2019 and joined the team at Rhode Street School in July 2019. I am a trained Primary School teacher and have been teaching full time since 2011. 

It is a great pleasure to teach year 5 and 6 and to learn alongside aakonga. Building relationships with aakonga is an important part of every day. I strive to make every student feel that they belong and that they can reach success. It is also important that every student knows that they matter. 

I enjoy helping students to face the unknown in their learning and to not be afraid to take a leap.
