Students create a practical skills set and visual arts product in an area of special interest such as drawing, painting, printing, clay, sculpture, mixed media or digital design. Two inquiries are completed on a visual artist with practical appropriation of their 'signature style' and of a specific visual arts genre. Students can link their learning to community projects such as mural artwork, magazine publications, publicity posters and the curation of virtual or live exhibitions. This program is designed for students who wish to pursue Visual Arts as an experience for creativity rather than the advanced skills development in the Visual Arts: Art or Visual Arts: Design program.
