Students may select one or two of the following semester-long subjects as a pre-requisite to their future career pathway. Each selection must be on a separate application form which includes a written personal statement . Pre-Voc subjects provide a pathway and may assist in students' eligibility to enrol in Year 11 and 12 Flexible Industry Pathway (FIP) courses.
This course introduces students to the basics of working as an automotive mechanic. Students will explore a range of careers related to the automotive industry and be exposed to competency-based learning. This course is designed as a prerequisite for students who want to continue training in FIP/VET Automotive in Year 11.

This course introduces students to the basics of working in the commercial cookery industry. It is well suited for students who are considering café or restaurant work. Students will explore a range of careers related to the cookery/cafe industry and be exposed to competency-based learning. The focus is on preparation and service of café-style food and coffee and includes theory modules and kitchen practical sessions in the VET kitchen, including the running of a café day towards the end of the course. This course is designed as a prerequisite for students who want to continue training in Certificate ll Cookery or a school-based apprenticeship in Commercial Cookery.

This course is open to Year 10 students that have an interest in moving into the digital media industry. The two largest areas for this are game programming and game art and animation. The Game Programming Foundations course is run with a focus on the development of programming language and technical skills to create 2D games, using industry standard software. Upon successful completion you will have the skills, experience and confidence to demonstrate how to use a game development framework and programming language.
