Op Art Madness

Op Art stands for Optical Art/Optical Illusion Art. The goal of this assignement is use shading techniques to create the impression of three dimensional space using only colours, highlights and shadows. Below are the instructions.

1.Start by drawing curvy lines across your paper, try not having them meet.

2.Ink them with a marker.

3.Start drawing curves in each of the segments created by the lines. I usually have them curve in different directions from the ones next to them, See image above.

4.Complete the page.

5.Start colouring. Make colour patterns, and use a range of colours. I recoment markers for this as it will go faster and give you better coverage.

6.Colour the entire page.
