Student achievement of the curriculum expectations and the learning skills and work habits must be communicated formally to students and parents/guardians by means of the Provincial Report Card, Grades 9–12. The Provincial Report Card is produced four times per year - at the midpoint and at the end of each semester.
The Provincial Report Card, Grades 9–12, shows a student’s achievement at specific points in the school year or semester. The first (or midterm) report card reflects student achievement of the overall curriculum expectations during the first reporting period, as well as the development of learning skills and work habits.
The student's achievement of the overall curriculum expectations is reported as a percentage mark for each course.
The learning skills and work habits demonstrated by the student are reported for each course based on the following six categories: Responsibility, Organization, Independent Work, Collaboration, Initiative, and Self-Regulation.
The final report card also reflects the achievement of the overall expectations for the course, as well as the development of the learning skills and work habits. The achievement recorded on the previous report is also shown, in order to provide parents with an overview of the student’s achievement in each course.
