As part of the Education and Career/Life component of Creating Pathways to Success, students will need to create and maintain an Individual Pathways Plan (IPP) in Grades 7-12, which is reviewed and revised at least twice each year. The IPP becomes the planning tool for course selection, goal setting and post-secondary destination planning.
An electronic version of the IPP is provided to RCDSB students through the myBlueprint online application. This resource allows students to complete grade-specific activities in order to build an effective annual education plan. myBlueprint is a vital component in capturing student voice throughout the various transitions in secondary school, including both the transition from Grade 8 to 9 and the transition from grade 12 to a post-secondary destination.
As parent/guardian(s) play an important role in their child's education planning, parent/guardian(s) are able to sign up for a myBlueprint account, which can then be attached to their child's account. This allows them access to information on their child's progress as well as the career and life planning resources available.
See below for ways in which myBlueprint can be used to support the development of a student’s individual pathway planning.
