Dear Families,
Today was another day of discovery. The zoom conferences went well, and more students joined today. Our online synchronous learning time is an excellent opportunity for the children to stay connected to their classmates, talk to each other, and share their experiences while learning at home.
We have been looking at a variety of apps in KG and are in the process of getting the apps set up for us with user names and passwords for the parents. We hope the students are enjoying the online experience.
We are also looking at ways to make the online experience balanced for everyone involved, the parents, the teachers and especially for the students. We understand that many hours in front of a screen is not suitable for anyone, and so we are devising activities that can be inquiry-based around the house. We appreciate all the feedback you have given so far and will continue to collect your input as we plan our time online ahead.
Thank you so much for your support. This has indeed been a team effort of everyone involved the children the parents and also including those who help us behind the scenes, Mr Prabath on IT, our IA’s, and Ms Elaine our Early Years Coordinator.
Have a restful break, and we are excited to continue with the online platform on Sunday, March 22nd.
Warm regards,
Your KG Team
Good Evening KG Families,
What an exciting time! It has been fabulous seeing the children engage in the learning activities we prepare and post for you on Seesaw.
It is expected that we may have some challenges as we learn together the ins and outs of distance learning. Please do let us know should you need any assistance. We recognised. Some families reported issues with sound and access to Seesaw and Zoom, which we are working on sorting out with our IT team.
We appreciate your feedback on how you are enjoying the activities we have posted on Seesaw. Tomorrow, Thursday, we will post your morning message, and learning engagements between 7:30 am, and 08:00 am. From 11:20 am, we will be offline; however, we will respond to your children's posts.
After the mid-term break, we will be introducing some new learning apps for students to engage with online.
Have a wonderful evening,
Your KG Team
Dear Families,
A huge thank you to the parents and children who have tried posting on Seesaw to share what you have learned today. Online learning can only work with your help and support, and we appreciate your active involvement on our online platform. Please expect a morning message from teachers every day, as well as replies to your wonderful messages, photos and videos. Your feedback is important to us as we embark on this online learning journey, so please keep in touch and send us your thoughts.
To facilitate your online participation, please download the Seesaw Class App onto your home devices using the following link and follow the step to login to your child’s online e-portfolio. https://web.seesaw.me/platforms. This app will enable you to upload your child’s work, videos and stories directly to their e-portfolio space. We will be available online tomorrow to support you with any questions.
We are sure that there will be some challenges as we learn to manage our learning and teaching in this new domain; however, we are all here to support each other and learn together. Our virtual doors are always open, so please email if you have concerns, suggestions, feedback or questions.
Have a wonderful evening,
Your KG Team
