Google Workspace
All enrolled students are provided a Google Workspace account at no additional cost, including access to Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Meet, and Calendar. The Gmail account is used to support student-student and student-instructor collaboration. Students can access their Gmail account from the PG Campus homepage through Single Sign On (SSO); no need to enter a username and password.
Students retain access to their Google Workspace account for up to one year after they graduate or become inactive. See the policy below.
Student Google Account Closure Policy & Process
When a student’s enrollment status changes from active to inactive and remains in that status for one year (365 days), their student Google Workspace account will be permanently closed. Students will receive an automated email to their personal email account on file and their student Gmail account notifying them of the impending closure of their student Google account 30 days before the account is due to be closed. This email will include instructions on exporting important content from their student account.
The Gmail accounts of students who remain inactive for the full 365 days will be permanently closed. If the student's enrollment status changes to active before day 365, their account will remain open.
Returning Students
If the student is a returning student who has not been enrolled for under a year, according to the student’s enrollment record, the username and Google account will remain as is.
If the student is a returning student who has not been enrolled for a year or more according to the student’s enrollment record, the student is auto-provisioned a new username and Google account, but the same/former Gmail address is applied to it. This means the student will not have access to any old emails, drive documents, and settings.
