Kaltura - My Media

The Kaltura - My Media page is your private video storage area where you can manage your media content for all your courses. From the Kaltura - My Media page, you can upload existing media, create new media, edit media, create video clips, and delete media. 

Kaltura - My Media Gallery lists all videos you have created and saved. The My Media Gallery will follow you across all courses you have access to. 

Accessing Kaltura

Kaltura is available to students through their current courses in the Brightspace under the More Tools menu from any available course home page.

*Permission will need to be granted for the application to access your information in Brightspace the first time you access the tool. 

Click on Kaltura - Class Gallery to access the permissions prompt. 

Select the checkbox Do not ask me again for this application and click the Continue button.

Installing Kaltura

Kaltura Capture requires a software download. After clicking More Tools and selecting one of the Kaltura menu options, a prompt may appear requesting to open the application if it has been downloaded and installed.

If you have not yet downloaded the software, links are also provided for first-time access at the bottom of the page titled 'The Kaltura Capture Desktop Recorder.'

Once installed, Kaltura Capture program opens a toolbar providing capture options. Kaltura Capture provides video and audio options. Two screen options are available to allow display options for video content such as a webcam and screen share or presentation.

The Kaltura Capture Library may also display when accessing the Capture tool. The recording tool is accessed from the library by clicking on the New Recording button.
