Mrs Doreen Fester continues to work as the Librarian Assistant and is doing a magnificent job, she is the initiator of story telling aligned with National Language Week.
Phillipa McKenzie from National Library visit to guide Mrs Fester through a ‘How to identify books for culling’ process.
Doreen has attended 2 workshops at National Library and managed to connect with an interested group who required ‘culled’ books to send to Papua New Guinea. We had several boxes picked up from school this term and shipped away. We will continue to share old books with our Pacific neighbours throughout the coming years.
Term 3: Wheelers representative visited – new sets of books available at reduced sale prices.
David Reilly, local author of ‘Reading Warrior’ books visited our Library to promote his popular 'Heroes' books.
