Orange Peel Paper

For the Citrus Project, I've worked on making paper by blending orange peels in paper pulp.

Eventually I got a unique scent of the air-dried orange peels and the paper pulp from this project.

#2 Protective Face Mask

Bread Mask

For the Protective Face Mask Project, I made a mask with hollowed bread and elastics with similar color tone to interpret the protection from hunger.

Loveletter

In this art book I made from the inspiration of my grandparents' love story, you will have to flip through each page and read carefully as the font sizes get smaller and smaller along the lines of the poem.

#4 Vessel of the Myth

Treasure Hunt

Inspired by the myth of the chrysanthemum about an old emperor sending a group of children to find a magic herb that would give him eternal youth, I created a treasure hunt map with the ink mixed with scent I prepared.

Laundry

Inspired by the objects we always lose when doing laundry, we created a washing machine with a huge sock that you can peek in through a hole on the toe part. What you would see inside are all the objects that you might lose in a washing machine.

#6 In the Forest

Presentation

In this project, we presented footage from my old digital camera with the sounds of nature on an iPad on a lawn. We encouraged the viewers to put on masks scented with Green fragrance while watching the video, and to take off the masks to smell the real world after the video to remind people of the beauty of nature as most of the people today spend too much time staring at screens.

Goldfish Bag Hat

Inspired by one of the favorite movies of us in our childhood, Ponyo, we designed a goldfish bag to wear as a hat.

The concept of this project is about Technology Addiction. We recorded the sound of typing and incorporate with the sounds from all kinds of scenes.

Flags in the Wind

Inspired by one of the soundtracks that Professor Alexis provided and the Tibetan Buddhism culture, we built a mini Prayer flags installation. Tea was served as a part of the scent elements, and we invited viewers to meditate and feel the atmosphere together.

Inspired by Atheism and Agnosticism, we raised the questions: if we think the existence of God or other supernatural elements is unknown, is it "myself" that we believe in instead? And should we believe in ourselves?

#11 Sanctuary

Waterfall

In this project, we were trying to pull a sanctuary of nature indoor. We created sounds with water tap, water bottle, and the sound when I rinsed my mouth. To extend the flow from 2D into 3D, we've created a piece of fabrics with pieces of dyes fabrics with different techniques.
