The citrus project is experimenting the new ways to define fruits from the citrus family, slice them, and put them into different shapes. This piece elongated the natural process of fruit decaying throughout time and tried to preserve the fruits in artificial material. It is a timepiece that takes around four months to achieve the ultimate result.

The Out of Box Project is the first group project produced in the Art of Scent Class, and this collaboration is just the beginning of the beautiful art journey. A fridge is typical in everyday life, but it is also hard for people to notice what goes wrong in the fridge before adding new groceries. This project emphasizes the fridge's smell, the mixture of delicious odors and nasty smells. The audience would experience the piece from the top of the refrigerator, and they would see the fresh foods on the first shelf, then the second shelf with unpleasant smells would reveal later.

"Forest In Twilight" resonates with the prompt: "you enter a forest at twilight. By twilight. By a tree covered in fallen leaves, lies a box. You walk over, and reach for it..." The concept of this piece is to create a forest pathway through layers of leaves and installs a light in the center. Using different white balances from the camera to create different color temperatures corresponds to the various twilight hours.

Mask should protect individuals from diseases and provide social distance, which has been widely used since the pandemic. The mask does not have to be dull, but it can also be exciting and attractive. This mask is inspired by the western region from ancient times, which was considered mysterious because of the half-shown face. The scent applied to this piece is sweet, with a sense of danger.

The project is inspired by the childhood cartoon character Floral Fairy, a little fairy who can create flowers when she flies by, and she would also bring joy and happiness to people in pain. The project does not include the actual fairy, but it has the bracelet, the earring, and the ring that my partner and I think she would wear; all of the parts are handcrafted and glued together.

The general message expressed through this project is an unhappy marriage; the bride is forced to be married to a foreign family that she does not like, but she has no other choice. The music has strong religious feelings, but bitterness and sadness flow in the notes. The fabric on the head not only blocks the bride's vision but also forbids her from seeing her future after marriage; the yarns on the ground suggest she is stuck in misery.

The sound collage piece resembles the summer season, which narrates the trip down to Coney Island; most of the sound is rerecorded when I go out in summer, and few are added from the online sound library. The piece also has the scents of summer delivered through the ice cream-shaped object, which allows the audience to experience the immersive summer experience to the fullest.

The Project is printed in the postcard-size, representing the individual sending it in memory of someone they love. The Chinese characters on the postcard are from the original poem " THE LORD AMID THE CLOUD." Moon and the smell of osmanthus are also often associated with longing, and emotions are usually more potent at night.
Material: Printed Postcard
Scent: Sweet Osmanthus

This project begins with research on Sky Burial in Tibet. A ritual practiced after an individual is deceased, the Sky Burial masters will first set up a fire to attract the vultures, then gather around to feed on the corpse. The ritual is not a punishment but a preparation for rebirth; the Tibetans believe it will bring good luck if the vultures can finish all the flesh on the body. The piece is constructed from one whole chicken and restructured with hot glue guns.
Material: Chicken Bone, Glue Gun, Paper Towel, Ordinary AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution

The sanctuary project is heavily influenced and inspired by the art in nature, considering that different creatures have different habitats. The safe place for the bugs or marine animals may be dangerous for humans; this project depicts a spider's web as an example. The ideal way for the audience to experience this piece is by going inside the web and feeling the moment they are surrounded by "webs."
