1. Citrus Project

I made a letter to my mother who lives far away in Korea with the memories and fragrance of the trip together. The content of the letter is that I am doing well and reminiscing about the places we traveled together. The peel of the tangerine, a specialty of the travel destination, was directly pressed on the letter to spread the color and fragrance.

2. Out of the Box

Our team members made a box with their own happy memories, and made a section with scent and memories in their own area. I made a swimming pool where I spent most of my time last summer, and each different colored blue cube directly represents the water in the pool and also represents the color of the tiles.

A transparent film was cut into the shape of a development view to make a cube and filled with a mixture of resin and pigment.

3. Twilight in the Forest

The pine cones, dried flowers, and acorns in the tin case were all collected directly from the forest, and the rabbit made with felt was made by projecting me. It is like making a small forest in a tin case, expressing the fresh scent of the forest with Green, and the fog in the forest after sunset with Smoke.

4. Protective Mask

In fact, during the pandemic, I minimized unnecessary encounters and felt very satisfied with being alone. I was used to being with people all the time, but being forced to keep my distance made me feel more secure and comfortable. The grocery bag represents the stocking up of food, which was a big part of my quarantine life, and the one inside the head represents me feeling satisfied with being alone.

5. Aromatic Avatar

Fold white paper flowers to make a wreath. I expressed the sleeping princess, but in the original story, the princess is awakened by the kiss of her lover, but I express the dead princess who has fallen asleep for the rest of her life because no one comes to rescue her, as a colorless and gradually losing scent flower.

I made a scent that is not strong by permeating very little sweet scent and smoke into the paper.

6. Magic in Music- Part 1

When I heard the song, my first thought was that the song started out very strong and ended slowly and quietly, creating a sacred atmosphere that reminded me of slowly melting ice. So I grind pastels to make colored ice, and took a process of melting it.

7. Magic in Music- Part 2

As in Part 1, this time I made scented candles mixed with pigments and filmed the process of slowly melting them. I made scented candles because the sacred atmosphere to me is the harmony of light and scent. As the scented candle melts, the colors mix to create a new color, which creates a painting-like effect.

8. The Poetry of Longing

In the love letter, I expressed the dreamy heart that cannot be expressed in words with wool felt and flowers. The reason why all of this was made in white was to express the innocence of love, and to express the heart of love overflowing with stationery.

9. Ritual Alter

In Korea, a simple meal is prepared every year to remember a deceased family member or loved one. So, inspired by this custom, I set up my own ancestral table. It consists of apples, rice, incense, alcohol, and a bell that emits a brilliant sound made by hand.

10. Sanctuary

The safest and most secure place for me is the bed. These dolls mean a lot to me, and they are attachment dolls that I always carried with me from when I was young until I went on a long way to study abroad. In particular, the dolls made with knitting are made by myself, and I find my own stability by making and collecting them myself. Since these dolls live as beings that protect me, I gathered them in a circle and made my sanctuary.The fragrance is a combination of skin, smoke, and green, and sprayed a fragrance that can feel stable.
