Open Enrollment is your annual opportunity to review your benefits and make updates for Plan Year 2026, effective January 1, 2026.

Where to enroll: Munis Employee Self‑Service (ESS)Â
Who must take action?
• All employees must complete the active enrollment process.
• Even if you have no changes, you must go into ESS, select “No Changes,” and click SUBMIT to complete your enrollment.

Medical: New tier system for coverage levels
Premiums: Remain the same for 2026
IRS updates: New limits for HSA, FSA, and retirement plans
Deductibles: Updated per IRS guidelines
Limited Purpose Health Care FSA: $3,400
Dependent Care FSA: $7,500 per household - $3,750 per parent if filing separatelyÂ
Transportation FSA: $340 per month
457(b): $24,500
Catch-up (age 50+): $8,000
Super Catch-up (age 60-63): $11,500

All the Employees must log into Munis ESS and complete their 2025 benefits selections by November 16th, 2025.

Under Benefits, Next, click "open enrollment" at the top of the screen under "Existing Benefits" (see the picture below).
Review each section: Medical, Dental, Vision, FSA/HSA, Life and AD&D, and other Voluntary Benefits. (FSAs must be re‑elected annually)
To adjust your benefits for 2025, click "SELECT" and choose your desired options. For benefits you wish to keep unchanged, choose "NO CHANGES."Â For any benefits you wish to discontinue, select "DECLINE."
Add or verify dependents and upload required documentation (if applicable)
Elect or waive each benefitÂ
After making all your selections, click "CONTINUE" > "CONTINUE" > "SUBMIT" to finalize your 2026 benefits choices.
You should receive an email with your selections.

Earn discounted premiums in 2027 by participating in the Health & Well-Being Program!
Pitkin County encourages employees to take an active role in their health through the Employee Health and Well-Being Program. Participation is voluntary, but it’s the key to earning the 2026 Health Insurance Premium Discount (Wellness Rate).
To qualify for the discounted rate, employees and their covered legal spouse or partner must complete the required wellness activities between November 2025 and October 2026.
