Performance management is an essential practice for Pitkin County. Your professional development is very important to the success of your team and us as an organization.
INTRODUCTORY PERIOD
The introductory period of employment is six (6) months in length (9 months for the Dispatch department). It provides the opportunity to demonstrate abilities to achieve a satisfactory performance level and determine whether the position meets expectations. In addition, the County uses this period to evaluate capabilities, work habits, and overall performance; for more information, read Policy 3.20.

ICS – 100 training
Harassment Prevention Training
Cyber Security Training.
