RFTA Bus Passes
Employees who live outside of Aspen and Snowmass are eligible to receive a RFTA Zone Pass for the season or a Stored Value Pass to ride the bus as a means of transportation for commuting work to/from home.
Details:
Employees commuting 3 or more days a week can request a zone pass. Employees commuting less than 3 days a week should request a value pass. If your commute to work situation is undefined, you can order a zone pass at a later time
All zone passes will be loaded to the RFTA Tickets app. Download the app, open an account using your work email and send your request using the form in PCIN.
Stored value passes can be picked up at HR, Facilities, Airport and Public Works, choose your location when making the request.
Employees who participate in county van pools are not eligible for a bus pass.
If a bus pass is lost or stolen, the employee is responsible for the replacement of the pass
If the employee separates employment with Pitkin County, the zone pass will be canceled.
Zone pass request turnaround time may take up to 5 business days.
Summer zone passes goes from May 1st to November 30th.
Winter zone passes goes from December 1st to April 30th.

Discounted Ski Pass
Employees living in Roaring Fork Valley as their primary residence and working a minimum of 20 hours per week during the winter season are eligible for discounted season ski passes. Spouse/Legal partner is also eligible, marriage proof may be requested.

Passes are non-refundable and insurance is available for purchase trough the Aspen Skiing Company
The cost for Spouse/Legal Partner is same as the employee pass cost
You must pick up your ski voucher at the Treasurer's Office (530 E Main St - Suite 101, Aspen CO), Hours: Mon - Fri 9 am to 4 pm (holidays or lunch break may affect hours)
Payment options are check or money order made out to 'Pitkin County'
Vouchers will be available for pick up until beginning of February. Next round of vouchers will be open for orders in October of that year for the next winter season.
If employment ends, the pass is deactivated and no refund will be given

Volunteer Service Days
Full-time employees scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for up to 16 hours of volunteer service leave per calendar year.
Part-time employees scheduled to work 24 to 29 hours per week are eligible for up to 8 hours of leave. Employees scheduled to work less than 24 hours per week are eligible for up to four of hours leave.

Solid Waste Center
Employees are eligible to bring up to $100 worth of items (trash, brush, paint, electronics, etc.) into Pitkin County's Solid Waste Center at no charge. You will receive a coupon book in $15 and $20 increments totaling $100. To claim your coupon book, come to the Landfill and let the Solid Waste Center staff in the scale-house know you are a County employee.
