INTRODUCTION TO VIDEO GAME DESIGN
In this course, students will learn a brief history of video game design and about the future for this growing industry. Through many labs, game testing, self-reflection, and group evaluation; students will gain an understanding for the complex world of game design. To wrap up the semester, students will create a game of their own from the knowledge they have gathered throughout the semester. Students should be fully aware that this is a video game DESIGN course, not a GAMING course. This course is challenging and involves a fair amount of programming. This class uses the program GameMaker8 to design the games.
Pre-Requisite: A "70 %" or better in Graphics 1 OR the permission of the instructor
