INTRODUCTION TO METALWORKING AND WELDING
Course Description:
In this course, students will explore fundamental methods of metal fastening and cutting, gaining hands-on experience with essential metalworking techniques. The primary focus is welding, where students will develop both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. They will learn to create a variety of weld joints—including flat, lap, butt, “T,” and cylindrical (pipe) welds—using SMAW and GMAW welding techniques. This course prepares students to confidently work with metals not only for real-world manufacturing and fabrication, but also to enjoy metalworking as a creative and fulfilling hobby.
