INTRODUCTION TO PRODUCT DESIGN ENGINEERING
Course Description:
In this course, students will learn the fundamentals of product design, focusing on precision drafting of 2D and 3D objects. Students will deepen their understanding of measurement, including working with fractions, decimals, and geometric forms crucial to engineering design. Students gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD for 2D drafting and SolidWorks for 3D modeling. They may also use 3D printing to create prototypes and refine their designs. This comprehensive approach prepares students with the technical skills and problem-solving abilities needed for careers in product development, manufacturing, and engineering design.
