Lockdown: Requires locking doors, windows, classroom, and office doors AND barricading as necessary to block entry.
No movement outside of classrooms.

Secure School: Secure the perimeter AND lock school entrances - Program staff continue with instructions/can move around INSIDE the school (students should not go to or be released from portables).
Green DOES NOT NEED LAW ENFORCMENT. These are elements that should be managed by site administration to de-escalate.
For Afterschool programs, first contact the site's assigned Culture Keeper for assistance. Site Based Culture Keepers help de-escalate a situation to from becoming an escalated situation requiring law enforcement.
If additional de-escalation assistance is needed by Central Office, call the intake Emergency Report/OUSD Culture Keepers Ambassadors: number, 510-874-7777

When they are not responding to a direct incident, they will be visiting sites within their network to build relationships and give feedback on site practices.
The should be a part of your network’s monthly COST team
