Numeracy with Seesaw

Seesaw can be used to study numbers. Students can use the Draw, Photo, and Microphone features to show what they know, or teachers can push activities to their class to strategically target concepts. Check out these activity links for numbers lessons:

CodeSpark Academy

CodeSpark Academy is an excellent app for building computer science fundamentals as well as reinforcing math skills like problem-solving, logical reasoning, and spatial sense. It is completely visual, so it is great for younger students.

Code.org

Coding is great to reinforce mathematical concepts like geometry, measurement, spatial sense, logical reasoning, and problem solving. Code.org offers a comprehensive programming curriculum that is self-directed. Great as a choice time activity, math station, Genius Hour option, or dedicated programming time activity!

Numeracy and Spatial Reasoning with Lightbot

Lightbot is a fun programming app available on student iPads. Students are challenged to navigate a series of mazes by writing programs. They practice their counting skills by determining the number of spaces to move, and develop spatial reasoning by deciding whether to turn right, left, up, or down.
