SEMESTER ONE
- Motion
- Forces
- Structure of Matter
- Earth in the Solar System
- Chemical Reactions
Science Diagrams with Google Drawings
Students can create great insect/plant diagram with Google Drawings. Google Drawings allows students to draw, label, and share digital illustrations.
Science Simulations with Scratch
Scratch can be used to program science simulations.
SEMESTER TWO
- Chemistry of Living Systems
- Periodic Table
- Density and Buoyancy
- Investigation and Experimentation
Science Drag and Drop Templates with Google Slides
Google Slides may be used to create drag-and-drop activities for a variety of science concepts. Students demonstrate understanding by dragging and dropping labels onto a template.
Science Mini-Documentaries
Adobe Express and WeVideo are great for making movies of all types. Students can use these powerful video editing programs to create movies about the circulatory system, cells, or any other topic.
RSA Animate
The RSA Animate movies are essentially videos of white board sketches that have been sped up. They are quick, easy to make, and a fantastic way for students to consolidate their understanding of a concept. Check out these resources:
Data Analysis with Google Sheets
Google Sheets is a powerful tool for data collection and analysis. Students can create spreadsheets with a few simple formulas (or teach formulas to their students) and then use the spreadsheet for data collection and dynamic data visualization.
Pecha Kucha Presentation with Google Slides
Pecha Kucha is a presentation style in which 20 slides are shown for 20 seconds each. Because Pecha Kucha presentations are programmed to advance every 20 seconds, the presenter really needs to know their stuff!
