Digital Portfolio with Google Sites
Google Sites is a website template that can be used to build student portfolios. Portfolios may feature examples of student writing, social studies projects, movies, My Maps...pretty much anything that can be hosted in Google Drive may be embedded or linked to a Google Site!

Publishing with Google Docs
Publishing with Google Docs allows students to digitally share their work with you. Using the Comments feature, teachers may engage in a rich conferring dialogues to raise the level of student writing. Providing students with a Writing Checklist allows them to manage their own writing process. Docs is great in combination with Google Classroom as an assignment distribution format!

Poetry with Google Drawings
Google Drawings can be used to provide visuals for the poetry unit. Use text boxes to insert the poems and shapes to build the illustration.
Magnetic Poetry
Magnetic Poetry is a creative writing aid consisting of individual words—often related to a particular theme or topic—typed into on small text boxes which can be creatively arranged into poetry. Here are some resources:
Persuasive/Opinion Movies with Adobe Express or WeVideo
Adobe Express can be used to create mini-movies to accompany students' persuasive essays.

Informational Writing Magazine
Students can use Google Slides templates to create fun magazines about their informational writing topics. Here are some resources and tutorials:

Green Screen Movies for Informational Writing
Green screen (also known as Chroma Key) allows filmmakers to superimpose anything or anyone into a photo or video. If the student wrote about volcanoes, they can superimpose themselves in front of an eruption! Here are some resources:
Publishing Digital Books with Google Slides
Google Slides is a great format for publishing writing across all genres. Students may add text just like they would in Google Docs, but Slides is much more flexible in terms of adding images and videos. By clicking Present, Google Slide shows can leafed through just like a digital book.
Informational Documentary Movies
Adobe Express can be used to create biographical movies using the student's biography writing as the script.
