The objective of this presentation was for me and my group to create a backstory of a patient, like their name, age, gender, and create a scenario on how our patient got bone fractured injuries based on the x-rays that were provided to us by Ms.Macri. We had to describe the fractures, where the injuries were located, and talking about the types of fractures that they were. After that, we had to explain to the audience what caused these fractures, and think of what kind of force was involved in it. After we have explained all of that, we will then talk about a treatment plan, which means discussing whether the patient will endure an internal/external fixation, plate/medullary nails, a cast, surgery, and cruthes. This project really helped me realize that there is more to it when it comes to broken bones and fractures, since I thought you would just get a casting for it and that was it.
The objective for this presentation was to work together as a team of medical professionals assigned to treat a specific patient who is in need of physical therapy. We work together to diagnose and treat our patient, and then analyze the data provided in our patient portal as a starting point. We will also need to consult additional sources for our explanations. I put this assignment as a grow becuase me and my group forgot to put in our sources of where we got our information from. We also forgot to combine all of these steps to create a concise timeline to present to Hazel's parents. So next time we know to make sure we check through everything in the rubric before we submit anything.
The objective of this assignment was for us to explain what parts of the brain was damaged in Phineas's brain when the bar went through his head. Using our foam heads that we have made to demonstrate the inside of the brain, we were able to find out that his frontal lobe, and limbic system were damaged the most. This was due to his behavior changing drastically, and him finding it hard to get work done at his job. In which the frontal lobe controls thinking and reasoning, while the limbic system control emotions.
The objective of this assignment for me and my group to make a poster about the differences between sprinters and marathoners. One thing I think we've could've done better was to add more information and evidence to the poster to make it stand out more. Looking at the poster, it does kind of look bland and uninteresting. So next time I make sure that I put enough information and illustrations to make the poster be more appealing.
