The obective of this assignment was to make a lab report about the crystal that you grew from home from scratch, using ingridients from inside your house. Borax was the salt that I used to help crystalize the crystal-like mold, made from pipe-cleaners. This is a glow for me because this was a really simple and fun project to do from home. It's a really flexible experiment that's not really dangerous to do, and mostly anyone can try. This report was basically everything that happen during my experiment, from procedure, to the results, and what was happening during the testing.
The objective of this assignment was to create an essay on how chemicals are currently classified as a safe or dangerous chemical, and whether there should be a new classification system. This is a grow for me becuase this essay took a lot of research and I felt like I could've put more better sources in there than I did. But overall I think I did pretty well, that was the only problem I had with the essay.
The objective of this quiz was all about caculating frequency, caculating wavelength, and explaining why wavelengths get shorter. This is a glow for me becuase I was able to understand the concepts of waves and how to caculate them when it comes to frequencies, wavelenghts, and the velocity. It was also important for me know the effects of the waves, and how one thing changes the other.
The objective of this quiz was to answer questions like what would be a useful type of electromagnetic radiation?, which type of radiation an be considered the strongest? which color on the spectrum is the hottest?, and then finally we had to caulate the velocity of a wave. This is a grow for me becuase I got confused with the concept of the colors and their frequences. This led me to putting the color red instead of violet, since I thought that the frequencies were really fast.
The objective of this assignment was to create a timeline of different scientists perceptions of atoms from oldest to most familiar. This is a glow for me becuase as you can see in the chart, I was very detailed, including my drawings and coloring. It was very cool learning about what atoms looked like from well educated scientists throughout the generations. It lets me know just how progressed we've gotten since the 1800's.
The objective of this assignment was to answer the question of "How is aluminum foil different from plastic wrap?" We had to include things like the chemical properties, physical properties, insulation, thermal energy, and force. This is a glow for me becuase I forgot to add information about the bonding and the strength of the forces between the particles in each. Next time i'll know to add chemical visuals to my project to give a better understand of whats going on between these two wraps.
