The objective of this assignment was to use the Experimental Design resource and the graphic organizer on the Student Response Sheet to help us create a brief study design to investigate the association between the activity/treatment and disease pair. The class had to make sure to set up the study so that it is reliable and valid. Me and my partner Jayden decided to talk about phone usage and brain cancer. Within the presenation, we had to make sure to include question & hypothesis, study type & groups, variables, , procedures, and ethics. This is a glow because we followed exactly what was asked of us in the rubric. Not ony that but me & Jayden also added visuals like the brain for the veiwers to better understand how electronic can affect us mentally.
The objective of this assignment was to research 3 credible resources that aligns with me and my group's capstone project about our smart contact lenses. Within our research, we had to add a summary of abstract, 2 quotes, 2 graphs, and the link to the website. This is a grow for me becuase I feel like our research could've been a lot more organized and neat. Since it was the beggining of making our capstones, everything was just kind of all over the place an confusing, so this research in my opinion wasn 't really useful.
The objective of this assignment was to Write a 1–2 page summary report that included writing a short overview of the outbreak, patient data analysis (symptoms, patterns, lab results), identified cause and diagnosis with evidence (e.g., RR results), study design used and justification, clear conclusion and public health actions, and then en it with an MMWR-style summary paragraph at the end. This is a glow for me becuase the written report for our presentation was very clear and specfic to the topic. I gave good enough background for readers to follow and understand what was going on, and then talked about what we knew based off the lab results, and how the patients got sick.
The objective of these slides was to create a capstone presentation based off of our smart contact lenses "RENNOVA Lenses". Within these slides, me and my partners had to include our introductory slide about us. And after that we had to put in our topic & reserch questions, our focus, why we wanted to make these lenses, what it does, the materials, and how it will benefit people with diabetes and glucoma. All though our presentation is very strong, it was lacking a few components when it came to the data, especially for the statistical analysis. We had trouble finding accurate numbers for it, so the graphs didn't really come out good. So later on in the future it will be updated to a more accurate and precise grapgh with the help of our bio teacher :).
