ENGLISH 101

The objective of this assignment was to create a Google Slides presentation in which you identify and analyze how Nazario employs the “tools of persuasion” (appeals to ethos, pathos, and logos) to achieve her rhetorical purpose in Enrique’s Journey. This a glow for me becuase I was able to thoroughly explain the kinds of quotes from the book that provoked the most emotion out the readers with the three rhetorical appeals.

The objective of this assignement was to Create a Google Slides presentation in which you identify, analyze, and explain the rhetorical situation of  Enrique’s Journey, by Sonia Nazario. This had to include the Speaker, Occasion, intended audience, the purpose, and the subject. This would have to be grow for me because I feel like we could have been detailed on our purpose slide, explaining how this book could affect the reader perceptions of immagration and migrants and maybe give more sympathy towards them.

The objective of this quiz was to study the 10 vocabulary words that was going to be in our new unit, anf find the right definition for each word within 5 minutes. This is a glow becuase not only did I get a 100 on this, but I studied thoroughly and prescisely making sure that I would be able to remember it in the easiest way possible.

The objective of this assignment was to write a rhetorical analysis regarding to Martin Luther Kings Jr's "I Have A Dream" speech. We had to discuss how the persuasive elements, ethos, pathos, and logos in this speech displayed the purpose of his message. This is a grow for me becuase I wasn't specific when it came to explaining certain words or phrases the invokes emotions in Kings message. Next time i'll try to pinpoint specific phrases to bring a clearer understanding to the prompt that was given to me.
