HONORS GLOBAL STUDIES

The objective of this assignment was to read one and/or two articles on the topic of Latin/Hispanic music and how it gained popularity globally, especially in the US. Within this paragraph, we had to include two quotes from the wbesite that was provided to us, and include two questions thaat we had to answer for each. This is a glow for me becuase I did exactly what I was supposed to do when it came to background information, questions, and accurate information. I will continue to do this in the future to better my understanding of the articles im reading.

The objective of this assignment was to list down 5 trade goods that was being transported during ancient times. With each good, you would have to talk about the unit/bulk price of it, the significance of this good, the skills to create it, and how it used to be transffered.  This is a glow for me because I went into deep details on each of the items I chose, as seen above. Not only that, but I also included proper citations for my research, which was the most essential thing to include. I will continue to bring strong evidence and details into my work so that I can have the best quality of work.

The objective of this assignment was to pick 10 vocabulary words from unit 2, and create a unique story out of it. This would be considered a grow for me because I didn't use a lot of context clues to support these words, and while re reading everything again, it did seem kind of choppy to me and very rushed. So now I understand that I should add more clues to my vocab words so that my teacher knows that I actually understand what it means. I should also make sure that my story is flowing along well so that it would be easier to read for my teacher or anyone else who reads it. 

Thos objective of this assignment was to gather research about the Enlightenment Philosophers we learned about earlier in this unit. While conducting the research, we had to gather information on their ideals, using quotes to prove this, and finding historical events where this came true. This is a glow for me because I was very descriptive when it came to the historical events behind the quotes given from the philosophers, and sourced all of the resources correctly and properly.

The objective of this assignment was to find pictures of working conditions during the industrial revolution age (1800s) and photos from our current time. These photos shows child labor, factories, housing, etc. And then after all of the pictures are displayed, we had to include captions with your pictures to provide descriptions of the images. This is a grow for me becuase I could have been way more specefic when it came to the captions, instead of being vague. I could have included the events that was going on at the time to kind of give a sense of how they got into that situation.

The objective of this assignment was to create a unique story using 10 vocabulary words that are used within the unit. This is a glow for me becuase my story had a very unique flow all throughout, using elemets, and figurative language
