This objective of this essay was to read the Lead Case, State v. Richard Crafts ,or watch “Crime Stories ‐ The Wood Chipper Wife Killer” to learn more about the case. After receiving all of the information, we then had to find out what the motive was being Richard Crafts killing his wife, Helle Crafts, and the most significant statment that opened up the case and made it so popular. We also had to dig deeper into why this specific case was so unique compared to other cases, and the importance that it brought to forensic science and technology. This is a glow for me becuase I got very detailed in when and how the case started, Richard's motive, his alibi, and how he carried out his crime. I also talked about the statments from Helle's friends, and how they were very important during this investigation to get the real truth out.
The objective of this assignment was to watch two videos, and take notes the history of forensic science and scientists. This is a grow for me becuase even though my notes may look like a lot already, I feel like I could've been a little more specific in my notes. I feel like I was being too generic in my notes and didn't really highlight other things that the scientists have done. So next time i'll know to be more specific when it comes to notetaking, and not just surface level things.
