5 Questions that you will investigate with your thesis project
3 Possible venues for your work to be shown. Why? ( Look at artists or creators who show their work in these venues and explain why you would want to be part of these institutions or venues.)
3 Experts or types of people you would like to speak to about your thesis. Describe why you would want to speak to these 3 people. (They should be realistic. Not fictional or deceased people)
How can my project be used to break down the negative stigma surrounding museums (eg: "museums are too boring")
How do you balance the emotions, expectations, and experiences of a "traditional" museum while incorporating technology?
What is the behavior regarding phone technologies in museum and how can I facilitate their use in the best way possible?
For an art museum, when are those moments during a museum visit when the phone is used?
How does the phone/technology usage differ between a visit to an art museum, a science museum, and a history museum?
How can you begin the experience given different types of phones (ie older phones without QR scanning)?
How would I make a general purpose museum app that is more accessible to different age groups and technology proficiency?
How can my project be helpful for tourists or for those who aren't from the city where the institution is? (Ie affecting the pre-visit and post-visit)
How can the expectation of "bespoke" experiences/souvenirs be used in my project?
Ideally I'd this app to be part of the big museum because there's a lot of possible content to work with.

Museum professionals: Rosanna Flouty, Brett Peterson, Michael Meister, Nancy Hechinger
Rosanna Flouty is currently the interim head of the Museum Studies Department. I'd love to get her input considering she first introduced the topic to me when she taught me in her "Museum and Interactive Technologies" class.

Brett Peterson is the professor for Playful Communications of Serious Research class that teaches interactive design based on an NYU's researcher's work within the context of a museum's exhibition. Furthermore, he is the Head of Digital within the Exhibition teams at the American Museum of Natural History.
Michael Meister was my exhibition design professor for the Exhibition Design and also a 3D designer for the Exhibition Department at the American Museum of Natural History.
Nancy Hechinger has a background in museums.

Other types of people I'd love to speak with are educators. I'd really like to learn more about how older (older than middle school) people learn and if any of those lessons can be incorporated into my project.
