Swift Exercises App
One Button AR App
For my one button app, I was initially inspired by two things:
The many ASMR ambiences I listened to during COVID-19 to replace my outings to cafes where I would like to study or do work.
This picture of the system a Japanese zoo used to impose social distancing
Initially I thought that it'd be fun to try to enliven the cafe space that is recovering from the absence of customers due to quarantine measures that NYC experienced.I like to work in a public space where I am both anonymous but also not isolated, so I thought it'd be fun to try to replicate that experience with this app. Users can tap and a randomized guest would appear in the space if the current space they're in is too empty. Perhaps this could be used to ease the user into being in a public space after quarantine. It would provide them "people" to get used to in a COVID-19-safe manner.
The assets I used were derived from the 3D Warehouse: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model/f2f5f073-4f2a-4a22-abec-577c4b1695c3/people. I liked how the figures were realistic enough but still abstracted because they lacked facial features.
