8 Jan 2026: CCA Fair 

Nanyang Nature Society took part in the CCA Fair! 

We welcomed the Sec 1s and introduced them to our three focus groups — Café, Backyard, and Upcycling, along with the activities we do during CCA. 

24 Feb 2026: Eco-enzyme workshop 

Nanyang Nature Society partcipated an Eco-Enzyme Workshop. We learnt about the environmental consequences of food waste and explored how organic waste can be repurposed into useful household products instead of being discarded. The workshop introduced eco-enzymes — a natural, multi-purpose solution produced through the fermentation of fruit peels, sugar, and water.

During the hands-on session, we created our own eco-enzyme containers using orange peels, brown sugar, and water. They gained practical insights into the fermentation process and how eco-enzymes can be used as natural cleaning agents and fertilisers.

The workshop reinforced the importance of mindful consumption and waste reduction in our daily lives. By transforming food waste into something valuable, our members took a meaningful step towards building a more sustainable future. 🌿

11 April 2025: Open House 2026

6 May 2026: BVSS x NYGH exchange (BVEC x NYNS)

On 6 May, a group of NYNS students visited Bukit View Secondary School to collaborate with their Environmental Club as part of a meaningful and enriching programme.

 Through group discussions, we worked together to brainstorm and plan activities for their upcoming Student Environmental Leadership Conference for primary school children, exchanging ideas on how to make environmental education more engaging and impactful. The programme also included an informative sharing by one of the BVSS students on the importance of biodiversity and its different types, including genetic biodiversity, species biodiversity, and ecosystem biodiversity. 

Overall, the experience was both insightful and inspiring, deepening our understanding of environmental conservation and the importance of nurturing environmental awareness among the younger generation. 🌱
