Nanyang Nature Society took part in the CCA Fair!
We welcomed the Sec 1s and introduced them to our three focus groups — Café, Backyard, and Upcycling, along with the activities we do during CCA.
24 Feb 2026: Eco-enzyme workshop
Nanyang Nature Society partcipated an Eco-Enzyme Workshop. We learnt about the environmental consequences of food waste and explored how organic waste can be repurposed into useful household products instead of being discarded. The workshop introduced eco-enzymes — a natural, multi-purpose solution produced through the fermentation of fruit peels, sugar, and water.
During the hands-on session, we created our own eco-enzyme containers using orange peels, brown sugar, and water. They gained practical insights into the fermentation process and how eco-enzymes can be used as natural cleaning agents and fertilisers.
The workshop reinforced the importance of mindful consumption and waste reduction in our daily lives. By transforming food waste into something valuable, our members took a meaningful step towards building a more sustainable future. 🌿
