21 Dec 2021: Day Camp
We started off with Terra upcycling workshop where our girls learn how to sew their own key pouch using recycled cloth/socks and making their own self-watering planter. It was a great experience as many of them get to try out sewing for the first time!
Trees of the World (24 Nov 2021)
Light Up Display: 4 December 2021 to 2 January 2022
Trees of the World saw the participation of friends and partners of the Gardens, community groups, schools, hospitals, charities and corporations who came together to decorate and light up over 160 trees in the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The Gardens was transformed into a magical wonderland which our visitors enjoyed very much. Do drop by Singapore Botanical Garden (Tree 28) to have a glimpse of our NYNS tree!
The trees for the programme are native to Singapore and will eventually be planted in our Parks, Gardens and other NParks’ managed spaces and contribute to our OneMillionTrees movement, which aims to plant one million more trees in Singapore by 2030. There is no theme set for this year but students are encouraged to incorporate some sustainability efforts such as use of re-usable or upcycled items for decoration of the tree.
