5 April 2025: Open House 2025
15 March 2025: CCA Overnight Camp
On this day, the CCA had our highly anticipated 2D1N camp where we welcomed the Sec 1s into NYNS. The camp was filled with games, fun and lots of laughter. For many of the Sec 4s, this would be one of their last few memories with NYNS, and it is definitely an experience that they will treasure, even after they graduate.
The Sec 1s prepared a short skit to introduce themselves, and everyone had a wonderful time watching their amazing performance. Before the night ended, we roasted marshmallows and watched a movie!
The next morning, we had a delicious breakfast of cereal and sausage buns before we played our last few games. After a short reflection session, it was finally home time!
6 March: Latte Art Workshop
NYNS attended a Latte Art Workshop and learnt so much about making latte art using chocolate syrup. Our instructors also taught us how to make mocktails, which many of us enjoyed wholeheartedly. The hands-on workshop really brought the whole CCA together to create our own drinks. Overall, the experience was such a unique opportunity for us to become better and more skilled baristas, and to possibly widen our cafe's menu!
20 May 2025: S4 Farewell
It kicked off with a fun and meaningful tote bag painting activity, where everyone added their handprints on their seniors' bag, making each tote bag a unique keepsake. This was then followed by exchange of letters and our annual tradition of hitting the pinata.
A big shoutout to all our Sec 4 seniors for all their hard work, and their support for the juniors throughout the years. Thank you for everything!
21 May: NYNS X BVEC Exchange
The session began with ice breaker activities in each group, to help us get to know the students in Bukit View Environmental Club, followed by an exciting and informative Biodiversity Week sharing and quiz. After that, we went on a short tour to explore the Joules Center and Eco Garden in BVSS.
11 November 2025: Learning Journey to City Sprouts
(Vermi-composting Workshop)
The CCA had an eye-opening experience during the Signature Farm Tour at City Sprouts, where they witnessed how crops can be grown efficiently through vertical and container farming methods. They also learned about the concept of companion planting. This experience taught us that with innovation and creativity, the limited land in Singapore can flourish with agricultural potential.
Additionally, we observed the African Night Crawler, a species of earthworm that can grow up to 20 cm in length. They also had the opportunity to make their own vermicompost using materials such as cardboard, water, soil, and the African Night Crawler worms.
