GORDY'S GUARDIANS

Gordy’s Guardians was established to serve our school, in whose care we place our greatest and most priceless assets of all, our children.  It is our mission to support our school in any way we can.  Whether it be volunteering in the classroom, planning and supporting social events, or participating in the fundraisers.  We look forward to growing this organization into a vital part of our school culture and community.

Mission of Gordy’s Guardians: To promote the welfare of our children and to enrich their school environment through a organized parent participation and school-wide support.

Goal of Gordy’s Guardians: Gordy’s Guardians will promote the welfare and enrichment of children at home, school, and in the community.  Guardians will develop a closer relationship between the home and school, so that parents and teachers may cooperate in the education of our future.

Gordy’s Guardians Activities Include:

Fundraisers: School-wide fundraisers will support technology expansion, Classroom Novel Sets, Dragon Camp, and STEAM enrichment opportunities.

Gordy’s Guardian Volunteers: Volunteers assist teachers as room parents, with copying and clerical needs, and keeping classroom wish lists up to date, as well as supporting and participating in student enrichment activities such as Snow Day, Field Day, Student Picture Days, and field trips.

The Clark County School District is entrusted with the most precious resource that exists, our community’s children. The vast majority of our employees and volunteers work hard every day to develop appropriate relationships with students.

The 2019 Nevada Legislature passed Senate Bill 185, which makes it easier to volunteer at Clark County School District (CCSD) schools. The bill clarifies requirements for parents and members of the community to volunteer at schools. Click here to view details regarding SB 185.
