It is our privilege to inform you that McCaw STEAM Academy has met the criteria to become Nationally Certified-Demonstration School. As a Nationally Certified-Demonstration Magnet School, our school demonstrated through evidence, reflection, and strategic action, that we have established the Standards of Excellence in our school.
Magnet Schools of America (MSA), the national association of magnet and theme-based schools, created this national certification process designed to recognize the most exemplary magnet schools in the nation and help them as they continue to grow and provide high-quality, innovative curriculum and instructional programs that promote choice, equity, diversity, and academic excellence for all students. The certification process is based on the five pillars of magnet schools and the National Magnet School Standards of Excellence. These standards define the essential elements and characteristics of high-quality magnet programs. We commend our staff, students, families, and partners for their active roles in supporting our cognizant efforts to thrive for excellence. Being recognized as a Nationally Certified-Demonstration Magnet School is a tremendous honor and accomplishment.
Science & Materials Supply Drive
During this school year, and as we prepare for next year's student return, your children will be creating a variety of projects related to the subjects that we are studying in the classroom. Each year, we ask that our families help provide supplies to make sure that we have enough for the children until the end of the school year. This year has been a little different. We have purchased twice as many supplies due to distance learning as well as our return to the classrooms. The SOT (Student Organizational Team) has requested that we share a donation supply list with our families to help us gather supplies that students use school-wide throughout the year on project based learning and basic classroom lessons. Donating any of these supplies at any time during the school year is appreciated and welcomed!
Thank you Spread the Word Nevada and ALL our Community Partners! If you would like to partner with McCaw, please reach out to our front office, 702-799-8930
