Instead of our House League, some players choose to Represent NorWest Soccer by playing in leagues that other clubs participate in, including:
EMDSL: Local youth Rep league
LAWSL: Local women's Rep league
MMSL: Local men's masters Rep league
Locally, this has been known as "Competitive Soccer" in the past, but since 2014, Ontario Soccer and Canada Soccer have divided them into the following 3 groups:
Developmental (every age stage below U14),
Competitive (for U14 that is Tier 1 and up only),
Recreational (everything else!)
For simplicity & to remain current, we've chosen to use the term "Rep." - short for Representational - since participants represent our club in leagues and festivals & tournaments that host other clubs as well, unlike our House League program.
These leagues are independently operated and make & post their own schedules and standings (for ages 14+). Info. may be found on their corresponding league websites (linked below):
Q: What days are Rep soccer?
A: Leagues set Game Nights independently, and clubs follow them to the best of their ability.
Our Rep Coaches choose their practice nights within our field availability.
Q: How many nights a week is the commitment?
A: 2-3 nights a week is standard & dependent on Team Coaches' availability.
Q: What is the Season Length?
A: The Spring/Sumer season runs May through August typically.
Q: Where do they play?
A: Play is dependent on which clubs register a team within our district - Most are listed on the EMDSL site.
Practices are held in north London.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: Fees are set with our coaches and are based on what coaches estimate their team's needs to be.
They generally range between $275-$650 and represent the costs of participating,
Q: Do you use paid or volunteer coaches?
A: All of our coaches are volunteers but have completed the Canada Soccer required training.
