Making Ethical Decisions

By successfully completing the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions (MED) training, coaches will be fully equipped to handle ethical situations with confidence and surety.

The training helps coaches identify the legal, ethical, and moral implications of difficult and potentially unsafe situations that present themselves in the world of team and individual sports. Upon completing the NCCP Make Ethical Decisions training, coaches will be able to:

We host MED each spring in one of the BMO Centre conference rooms to help local team officials prep for the coming season!

Online Evaluation (required)

The NCCP MED online evaluation provides the opportunity to apply the skills learned in the workshop to real-life situations. By completing the NCCP MED evaluation, you will have demonstrated the ability to handle virtually any ethical situation confidently and safely.

Important Note: Nearly all sport-specific coaching pathways require you to complete the MED Online Evaluation to become Certified

You will be required to log in to The Locker with your NCCP#

What is an NCCP#?

Your coach's education profile is a National Coaching Certification Program Number (NCCP#). All NCCP coach training and education you take is recorded through an online database called The Locker. Your training from every sport and in every context is recorded here. As well professional development (PD) training can also be recorded here. In order to take an NCCP module, you will need an NCCP#.
