QUARTER 3 ASSESSMENTS (2/3/20 - 4/20/20)

1. "Circles: All Arc & Angle Relationships" (Actual Test Date: 1/31/20) -- Students must be able to solve problems when given measures of arcs and/or angles in circles. The angles may have been formed by chords and/or tangents and/or secants. In 2019, students were allowed to work with a partner during the test. (Test Return Date: 2/5/20 or 2/6/20)
2. "Lengths of Segments in Circles" (2/10/20) -- Students must be able to solve problems when given measures of line segments in circles formed by intersecting chords, or formed by the intersection of a secant with another secant or a tangent. (Test Return Date: 2/13/20)
3. "Classwork Completion" (2/3/20 - 2/14/20) -- Consider this grade to be a measure of a student's level of effort. This grade is a two-week accumulation of points that I awarded based on several days of monitoring completion of class notes, classwork completion, class preparation, cooperative participation, and attentiveness. Any grade lower than a perfect grade is an indication that a student did not follow through with some of his/her in-class responsibilities.
4. "HW Completion" (2/3/20 - 2/14/20) -- This grade is a two-week accumulation of points that I awarded based on checks of homework completion. In order to earn full credit, homework assignments must be presented on time and must be completed in their entirety with all work shown. Full credit will be awarded only if a valid attempt has been presented on paper for all assigned questions (even if questions have been answered incorrectly).
5. "Equations of Circles" (2/14/20) -- Students must be able to identify equations of circles, determine characteristics of circles based on given equations, and determine equations of circles based on given characteristics. (Test Return Date: 2/26/20)
6. "Equations of Ellipses" (2/28/20) -- Students must be able to identify equations of ellipses, determine characteristics of ellipses based on given equations, and determine equations of ellipses based on given characteristics. (Test Return Date: 3/4/20)
7. "Classwork Completion" (2/24/20 - 3/6/20) -- See previous description.
8. "Equations of Hyperbolas" (3/6/20) -- Students must be able to identify equations of hyperbolas, determine characteristics of hyperbolas based on given equations, and determine equations of hyperbolas based on given characteristics. (Test Return Date: 3/11/20)

10. "SOH-CAH-TOA" (3/13/20) -- Students must be able to use the SOH-CAH-TOA acronym to write and solve equations to determine the measures of unknown segments/angles in triangles. (Test Return Date: XX/XX/XX)

13. "Angle Measure, Standard Position, Tangent Identity--Part 1" (3/24/20) -- Students must be able to convert between types of angle measurements (degrees, radians, decimal degrees, and degrees/minutes/seconds). Students must work with angles in standard position and determine the measures of coterminal angles, determine the quadrant in which an angle's terminal side would be located, and determine the values of trigonometric functions operating on quadrantal angles.
