NKY Health seeks to foster a breastfeeding-friendly environment where breastfeeding is accepted as the preferred method for infant feeding and this message is communicated to all staff.

Breastfeeding Guidelines

In accordance with federal laws, NKY Health shall provide breastfeeding staff with reasonable break time and a private, non-restroom place during working hours, each time the employee has the need to express breast milk or breastfeed. 


Staff shall be provided access to space with an electrical outlet and seating, and nearby access to running water.  


Staff may use their own cooler packs to store expressed breast milk, or may store milk in a designated refrigerator/freezer.
