Dear TWDL Parents,
Thank you to all the parents who have signed up to volunteer! The activity will take place on Friday, 2/13, from 12:00–2:00 PM. Parent volunteers will arrive at 11:30 AM to help with setup. Teachers have signed up their classes to visit the booths. This year, each class will have approximately 20 minutes (5 minutes longer than in previous years) to participate. Parents may host 2–3 classes during some time slots.
For our most recent Cultural Bites TWDL parent workshop, I would also like to give a special shout-out to our parent volunteers — Lauren, Sylvia, Kat, Marilou, Yuyan, Colleen, and Sheron for their wonderful support and dedication. If I miss anyone, please let me know.
Due to a scheduling conflict, our committee meeting originally scheduled for 2/25 has been rescheduled to 3/25. The parent workshop previously planned for 3/25 will now take place on April 29. Our final TWDL Committee meeting of the school year will be held on May 20.
Trimester 2 assessments are beginning. Teachers have shared testing schedules and details through their weekly newsletters. Report cards will be sent home on 2/26. Please talk with your child about the purpose of these assessments. They help teachers understand students’ current progress and determine how we can adjust instruction to best support their learning. Encourage your child to try their best and show what they have learned. Good night sleep and more blue berries might be helpful! :)
