Dear Parents,
I hope you're all staying cool during these heatwave days. Here is our program's update for October.
TWDL Parent Worshop /
Our first TWDL parent workshop will be held on Thursday, October 17th, from 7:00 to 8:00 PM. I have incorporated feedback from the parent survey into this year’s workshop. During the session, we will share practical strategies that parents can use at home to support their child’s Mandarin learning, as well as their overall academic development through a parent interview. We will also learn some helpful phrases for parents to use at home. Additionally, I will introduce the apps and curricula we are using-Level Learning, Better Immersion, etc.—and guide you on how to navigate and leverage them effectively at home.

Parent Teacher Conference /
Our teachers have held one-on-one conferences with all parents. Thank you for taking the time to meet with your child’s teacher and gaining valuable insights into their overall performance at school. If you haven't had the opportunity yet, please feel free to reach out—we're here to support you in every way possible.
During the conference, teachers will share assessment results such as Mandarin Reading proficiency (Level Learning), Literably (English reading proficiency), BPST IV (TK-2nd), NWEA Math, and NWEA Reading. We assess students' proficiency levels using multiple assessments. The data we collect helps us guide their learning and provides feedback to adjust our teaching accordingly.
Click on the link to view the grade-level benchmarks.By comparing your child’s current test results, you can see how they are performing. If your child is below grade level, please don’t worry—we will work together to understand the reasons and identify ways to support their improvement. For students who are at or above grade level, we will continue to encourage them to maintain their excellent progress and aim even higher. It’s also important to compare their current results with previous assessments to track their individual growth.
Wishing you a fantastic October!
Ms. Wu
